Ultherapy is a non-surgical procedure that lifts and tightens sagging skin around the forehead, face, and neck. At Roseville Facial Plastic Surgery, we have an exclusive Ultherapist with more than twenty-five years of ultrasound experience. She performs this procedure with great skill. With that level of experience, you can count on obtaining optimal results.
Ultherapy is not a laser treatment or a radiofrequency procedure like Thermage. Instead, it works by using ultrasound energy to heat the deep layers of the skin while leaving the top layers of the skin cool. For this reason, the visible skin has few, if any, side effects. Our patients indicate they experience minimal to no recovery time.
We will spend time with you in consultation, examining you and asking questions about your medical history. Ultherapy is not suitable for everyone. For example, if you have very loose skin on your face and/or neck, a surgical facelift or neck lift might be the best choice for you. If you only have excess fat under the chin, injectable Kybella® may be sufficient. We will provide our recommendations during your consultation and answer any questions you have.
We have been providing Ultherapy in the Northern California area for 7 years.
Our top notch Ultherapist has been chosen to participant in research, helping Ulthera to test new tools and techniques. This ensures that you are getting the highest quality treatment with the latest technology!
What can be accomplished by Ultherapy?
While a facelift or neck lift will provide the most dramatic results, Ultherapy is an excellent option for people with less significant signs of aging or those who prefer to avoid surgery. It gives a generally tighter appearance of the face and neck. And it’s very effective around the jawline where facial skin begins to sag. Or above the eyebrows, where the eyelids start to droop.

How does Roseville Facial Plastic Surgery Approach Ultherapy?
Combined with our knowledge of facial anatomy and our practitioner’s extensive experience, Ultherapy technology, we can evaluate each patient to determine the most effective way to employ this innovative treatment.
One of the advantages of Ultherapy is that it promotes natural collagen production in the skin. It is an exact treatment, allowing our practitioner to see below the skin’s surface, much like ultrasound devices are used to see a fetus. Our Ultherapist can then choose to treat the proper tissue depth for an optimal outcome.

To assure your comfort, we advise you to take non-prescription pain medication prior to your procedure. We may also apply a topical anesthetic about one hour before the treatment. The actual treatment itself takes anywhere from 30 minutes to two hours depending on the areas to be treated, as the handheld device is passed over the skin.
As your body produces more collagen, you will begin to see visible results within three months up to six months. In general, results can last 18-36 months in most patients. Some patients choose to have this procedure repeated as aging continues.
Sacramento Ultherapy Recovery?
Some patients experience slight bruising and swelling after Ultherapy, but these symptoms last only a few days. There is minimal, if any, recovery period required after Ultherapy, so you can resume any activities you like immediately after treatment.
